This lab engages students in cultural analysis anchored in the theories and pedagogy of digital humanties. Building on Dr. Kim Gallon's vision of digital humanities as a “technology of recovery," our projects explore cultural and historical moments that have been lost or silenced. The overarching goal of the lab is to illuminate what Saidiya Hartman has described as "beautiful experiments," everyday practices that create pleasure and purpose even within environments of constraint.
