In her 2019 essay,Christina Sharpe asked, "what beauty as a method might mean or do: what it might break open, rupture, make possible and impossible." This project uses that question as a point of departure to explore cultural practices that create strength, hopefulness, and pleasure even within difficult circumstances that Sharpe described as "spaces of enclosure."
